Car Parks Update - October 2018

The Car Park Owners Association is now formalised and the representatives have been appointed following the voting process. Best are not a part of the CPOA but we do answer questions they have and supply data to assist them.

We are aware that the initial meeting has been convened and the CPOA members now have the ability to choose how to progress specific matters regarding reclaiming monies that CPOA is fighting for on behalf of its members. An offer has been put to the CPOA including the proposal for external parties to finance legal action, so that expenditure for the members can be limited so far as possible. This is separate to the ongoing legal action in the UAE. 

In the UAE, Best’s case is progressing well and we are informed it is now at the final stage of being passed to Judge, following reports on the case by both the Public Prosecutions Office and an independent expert witness. Our legal team have had a lot of last minute requests from the Office of Public Prosecutions in regard to comments made by the accused, but the team have progressed matters and are confident that their aim has been achieved. We are expecting a further substantive update at the end of this month.
