Time to invest in plastic recycling

According to the BBC, Britain has been shipping 500,000 tonnes of plastic to China every year for recycling. This has now come to a halt. The UK uses many different types of plastic and the increase on plastic usage from items such as drinks bottles, food packaging etc. means that Britain will start to stock pile plastic.

There is now clearly an environmental and an economic imperative for investment in plastics recycling facilities. The UK has few plastics recycling facilities and the opportunity for investment in non-incineration based recycling could deliver good investment returns.
